I've never been the first one on a horse... I let those with better reflexes handle that. ;D However, once that is out of the way I normally like riding the greenies and getting them going straight and confidently.
Unfortunately, over the recent 8 years of living in Nebraska, I lost a lot of my nerve and confidence. Eventually, it turned out that some of that was physical - but I know some was mental as well. I've been addressing both kinds of issues and seem to be back on track riding-wise. It always takes longer than I want but that's ok, I'm going in the right direction.
