What do you like best about it? *The zoom & it used floppys, just pop it in your computer & go! 6. What do you NOT like about it? *it's pretty big, and you can't get a lot of pics on a disc 7. Price !!! *Now, I have NO idea. I think dad paid around $700 when he bought it.

2. Canon Digital Rebel XT digital SLR 3. is it user friendly? If you're a photography nut. It's not a point and shoot. 4. would you buy it again? No 5. What do you like best about it? Manual features; ability to change lenses; not too hard to figure out 6. What do you NOT like about it? No sensor cleaning feature like my Nikon 7. Price !!! It was about $900 when I bought it. 2. Brand and model of camera Nikon Coolpix 5600 3. is it user friendly? Yes - my hubby is a total Luddite and while he swears, he can manage to take a photo (see above) 4. would you buy it again? It's a nice point and shoot but I'd like to go to a DSLR 5. What do you like best about it? SD Cards let me take more than an hour of movies. 6. What do you NOT like about it? Does not do well toward the end of the day, not enough light. Distorts near the edges, can't fill the viewfinder. Longish lag time between when I push the button and when it takes the photo. Cannot take photos in quick succession. 7. Price !!! I think it was $150 when I got it 2-3 years ago.

For what it was at the time, probably so 5. What do you like best about it? 12x Optical zoom with image stabilization, good motion capture 6. What do you NOT like about it? The autofocus is starting to get wierd and not working right, not really good in low-light situations. 7. Price !!! At the time about 400, not sure you can get them now.

This reminds me of my friend - the one who is a photographer. She hates it when someone looks at a picture and says "oh, you must have a REALLY nice camera". Part of getting a quality picture is the camera...the other part is half luck and half skill.

1. post ONE picture : 2. Brand and model of camera Nikon D2003. is it user friendly? In auto modes, yes. But it does have full manual capabilities.4. would you buy it again? Absolutely.5. What do you like best about it? It has ZERO lag time between when the button is pressed and the shutter releases. It handles just like my old 35mm N90. In fact it took the same lenses that the N90 did so I didn't have to go buy another 300mm zoom lens. 6. What do you NOT like about it? I haven't really found anything yet. It is a tad on the hefty side but I find that is a positive for me - helps me hold it steadier when I am shooting without a tri-pod. In fact the picture I attached was shot without a tri-pod on a gloomy day. 7. Price !!! I bought mine as a package deal 3 years ago but right now on eBay the bodies only are going for right about $800.00. But I've seen one here on CL locally that was a desperation sale that was priced at $550.00 just for the body. KrisAK

I want your camera Kris! I am probably not patient enough to learn to use it though.
I had a much beloved Nikon 5700 that died. It took the most fabulous pictures though. I think that the Nikon lenses often really stand out. They tend to have slower shutter speeds though - is that true of yours Kris? Would you take a chance on a used digital camera?
Jess - is your Rebel a different camera then Kits?
