Digital Cameras/post a pic/and tell me about

I just got a new camera - no picture because I haven't downloaded the software yet. My sister the scrapbooker researched a long time and found this one and she loves it, so I upgraded from my Olympus.

It is a Canon PowerShot SX110IS, 9 megapixels with a 10X optical zoom - so you can get really good distance shots. It does have a kids/pet mode to catch the moving stuff - but it doesn't take more than 1 picture at a time - and the flash takes a few seconds to recharge after every picture. For outside pictures with no flash, it's really good.

I promise to try to get the software downloaded - I have some pretty good pics of the dogs!

I've got the lens that came with the camera, then I've got a zoom. Give me a few minutes and I'll do a test.

Okay, I set up a tripod on the deck and did a little test.
this is taken with the regular lens and it's furthest setting

this is the regular lens, at it's nearest setting


Now the zoom lens at it's furthest setting


and zoomed all the way in

Yeah, our yard it pretty big. The dogs love it, and we have plenty of room to put in a veggie garden next year. :-)
