1. post ONE picture : 2. Brand and model of camera Nikon D2003. is it user friendly? In auto modes, yes. But it does have full manual capabilities.4. would you buy it again? Absolutely.5. What do you like best about it? It has ZERO lag time between when the button is pressed and the shutter releases. It handles just like my old 35mm N90. In fact it took the same lenses that the N90 did so I didn't have to go buy another 300mm zoom lens. 6. What do you NOT like about it? I haven't really found anything yet. It is a tad on the hefty side but I find that is a positive for me - helps me hold it steadier when I am shooting without a tri-pod. In fact the picture I attached was shot without a tri-pod on a gloomy day. 7. Price !!! I bought mine as a package deal 3 years ago but right now on eBay the bodies only are going for right about $800.00. But I've seen one here on CL locally that was a desperation sale that was priced at $550.00 just for the body. KrisAK This is an amazing photograph. Did anyone else notice the "face" on the dragonfly?

I want your camera Kris! I am probably not patient enough to learn to use it though. I had a much beloved Nikon 5700 that died. It took the most fabulous pictures though. I think that the Nikon lenses often really stand out. They tend to have slower shutter speeds though - is that true of yours Kris? Would you take a chance on a used digital camera? Jess - is your Rebel a different camera then Kits? Actually, the automatic features on this were really super easy to learn. We have a N5700 too. We were going to sell it but it is great for taking close-ups so we keep it. I have yet to find any kind of lag / slower shutter speeds in the D200. That was the main reason we decided on that particular camera. Used digital...it would depend on who was selling it. What it looked like - is it beat up, etc. And I'd want to run a bunch of shots through it and upload them to view before I'd hand over any money. Although, I will say, I bought my last 35mm camera (Nikon N90) on eBay. It came from a guy in Hawaii so I wasn't able to run film through it first but the photos in the ad pretty much sold me on it. I'd been trying to find that specific body here locally and our Kits camera was wanting $600 for theirs. I got this one on eBay for $300. I made sure to go back later and rub it in because they are so dreadfully over priced there. ;D KrisAK

1. post ONE picture this pic was taken from a moving vehicle with the automatic setting 2. Brand and model of camera Leica D-LUX-4 3. is it user friendly? yes very. It does great on automatic but also has a manual that invites more advanced manual setting techniques 4. would you buy it again? absolutely. If this one becomes a hand-me-down I will get a Leica again 5. What do you like best about it? It is easy to use for simple point and shoot. Has great zoom and wide angle for such a small camera. Never has any hiccups and fits in the smallest (evening)bag. Also, being visual, I like the ascetics of it. 6. What do you NOT like about it? The fact that my kidz used to hammer me all the time because they wanted to borrow it. I finally bought Valerie a Nikon. 7. Price !!! don't remember exactly.... around $500-$550 (they might be cheaper now)

Sheryl, might be a few differences, but probably not many. A Rebel is a Rebel is a Rebel... My next camera will be a Nikon.

I would like to purchase one of those digital cameras that will help me take better moving horse shots..
One of those, that when I click, it will take 3 back to back pics, and one of them is surely going to be a keeper.
Any suggestions? Or do all of the new camera's have that feature? IF they do, what is it called?

My Nikon has that feature and they call it a "sports action" or something like that. Its a pretty basic camera - all automatic and small...decent zoom but not outstanding. I also have a Canon Digital Rebel - I've never used the action feature on it. It has a decent zoom and I love the canon lens. It can be used on automatic or manual.

Mine has that feature. It's a Canon Rebel EOS.
The sports feature is what I use to get my 'flying dog' pics.

What is the zoom like on your camera Kit?
I need a strong zoom. I Like to take pictures across the arena
Is the rebel the type of camera that the buyer... can buy a stronger zoom?
