Wildfire lives somewhere in Arizona, he is on fb - 'course he would never 'friend' me. My politics are all wrong in his world. Arizona, haha, Superman refuses to go there anymore. Not kidding, I figured we go to Scottsdale when our niece was running a Marathon there - nope.com!

Not sure who Wildfire is, but he bought a horse (gray stallion??) from a gal in TX...Jan??? I looked up the horses name and his owner was listed as Wildfire. Wasn't the horse named Studly? And didn't he have to be put down recently because of an injury or something??? I remember him being sold to Wildfire... |

It was Studly and he wasn't bought from Jan I don't think. I might be remembering wrong but thought Jan was from up north Like Montana. I think studly came from our poster in TX. That lady took another one of our troubled youth in, Taint Misbehavin. It's funny all these names coming up , brings back lots of memories.
I met a lady on acme chat that I am still friends with in person to this day.

Wildfire bought Studly from a barrel racer which is probably why you are thinking Montana - that is where Gail the barrel racer was from. But Studly was bought from Grits (Jan) in Louisiana. And Grits is the one Taint Misbehavin kind of just showed up at her house one day like a stray.
Gina is on another board I lurk at and she has been pretty straight - as in not making stuff up like she did on Acme - but lately there has been some drama where she'd been boarding her horses. No clue if it is real or not. Don't really care. Just hope she's not try to BS the nice people on that board too.
The girl from FLA went by Royal and then a gazillion other names as often as she bought/sold horses. And then she had / was going to have a baby and that was the last I've seen her on a board. She might be on COTH though.

I was known as El Cid, Okmani, Tarenie then just plain Tara.
I started AcmePet just before Toni (toenipper then, now grullablue) had her daughter Lauren? And Duchess had Amelia about a year after I started. That is how I remember it. I think it was about 12 years ago though.
I remember a lot of the older regulars, Marge, Grits, WendyB, Shelby, Duchess, ChrisNStar, Mary Ann, Mercedes, Spock etc.

Gail! That's the name I was trying to remember! It was driving me crazy earlier. And yep Jan did have Studly. I remember she was buying and selling a lot of horses trying to find the right horse for barrel racing.
I miss grullablue and all of her beautiful horses. I loved her original stallion.
I came to the board right after Marge had died but she sounded like a wonderful person. I remember old regulars like pooh and Cheyenne ... Reinershine (Jess) was just a young teenager then. I remember so many that came and went between acme, stable minds and here. THe nice thing is I have some of the
On FB and keep up that way. I don't post often either but I do read every day and sen good thoughts to those who ask

And I remember Duchess. Her daughter Grayson (Gigi) has the same birthday as my daughter but my daughter is 3 years older. Which must make her oldest Sam about 18 now, Grayson about 16, and Amelia in her early teens. Wow!

You guys are bringing up so many memories from back then, I went by the same name then as now. I always hated how some people were always changing their names, I couldn't keep up with who was who.

I remember Marge, I think I started just before she passed. She drew a beautiful horse while receiving her Kemo. I printed that and kept that picture for a long time until it fell apart.
All these names are so familiar. I believe I am still friends with Wildfire on FB. But he rarely posts anything.

Acme was my first time to be on a computer online. I was so happy to find the horse message board which talked about fun stuff and substantive issues, too, that I called myself Happy. Then I realized my new virtual friends could be experiencing real trouble. It became obnoxious to sign myself as Happy. FrostyM comes from my first pony's name. She was named for the equine star of the book, Pamela and the Blue Mare, which was like a Bible to me. It reflected the type of training I thought was best and I followed it with my pony. In only six weeks she was "stabilized" and jumping. Not bad for a barely broke mustang off the Plains.
You all and the folks which are still at SM are a real blessing to me. Thank you for your friendship and may our road together roll on and on and on.

I was on Acme pet, followed ChrisnStar around....went to StableMinds but never posted much there, always felt like I was an outsider. I think Frosty told me to come here, it's been several years now.... I was Donnat, then became donna.... I wish Shelby would join this board, I love her stories, she is the only one I miss from Stable Minds... Oh and Marci did a "reading" on my mare Star years and years and years ago...  |

I started on the Acme chat, but didn't make it to the message board for ages. Didn't post much there at any rate.
I loved the chat. I got Jack thru a gal on the chat, met Kit and a whole bunch of other folks that I still keep in touch with. Met Sheryl on the message board.
Man, that chat used to be a riot. I can recall sitting here typing with tears just streaming down my face. :-)

Snaffle- Toenipper turned into Grullablue. Donna, Shelby had a hip operation last spring and didn't hunt much. She been helping her GD show her horse Max this summer- lots of blue ribbons and smiles!
