I still have Sugar and am trying to ride more. It has been so hot that I have used it as an excuse.
The last three weeks I have started riding around the hayfields and down the long driveway. What's everyone else doing with their horses?

It is way too hot to ride here! Waiting until it cools down a bit (next week is forecasted to be a bit cooler) and then will start riding Shiloh again and maybe start working w/ Lucky a bit.

Horses are getting a break right now. I did take Sadie up to a campground in the mountains with Lady, DL's family and their two horses a couple weeks ago. J got a new horse, a boarder at the ranch where Mason lives died, and DL family took over board and his family gave them the horse. BeetleBaum or Bee for short is a great trail horse. Camping on a Sunday night was great. No fighting traffic to get there, had the campground to ourselves and met just a few hikers and bikers on the trails.

Sigh, I ride a bike now. With the joints and back as they are its safer. Does that count? LOL I do miss having a horse, but not all the back breaking work and worry. I even had a dream of Fani this morning. She was mine again. I haven't dreamt of her in years.

Ride4fun, that sounds great. So glad you have all been able to ride together and that both kids like to ride now.

It has been hot and the weather has been smokey from the fires. Smokey like air quality in the hazardous range. It is finally getting better.
