I drove 8 hours to northern Wyoming in mid April and again on Memorial weekend for AERC rides of 25 and then 50 miles. Prepping for attempting to finish 3 days June 30-July 2, and I like the rides up there although the long drives leave me drained for over a week afterwards. In between those went to a charity ride at a nearby reservoir. They got a photographer to take pictures and he got a great shot of TanzaKnight.

I am hoping for a ride today, but not nearly as exciting as yours.

Great shot!! I rode my bike yesterday 10 miles? Almost as much fun as riding the horse. The exciting part was speeding home to beat the rain. I barely got wet.

You are so inspiring Marci. Bike rides definitely count. I love having and riding horses but sometimes when work is so crazy and I'm having to spend several hours a week on weed control, fencing, cleaning out the hay barn for the new stacks or the other stuff that goes with having horses at home I think I'm crazy to have a hobby that requires so much work on top of the fun part. But then I get a nice training ride with new friends on Tanza and take Sadie out after 3 weeks to see if she is OK after her minor lameness memorial weekend and she 'stayed broke'. and that keeps me going.
I was hoping to hear how Dorothy's endurance trip went and how Jenni's crew are doing.

R4F, I need a dose of the "fun" part. I am hoping to remedy that in a few minutes.

I think I had the best ride ever on Plum. We were working up in the arena and she was really trying to listen. She consistently turned on her haunches, when asked, and we mastered lateral movement--both directions. It was a rewarding evening.
