Hey let's not let the board dies. I would love to see some winter photos of you and your ponies playing in the snow.

Can I use ones from years before? Won't be any from here on out. I sure miss her.

Just picked this new guy up from a pre-kill last chance lot for my son. He seems very sensible and very broke. This morning I rode him bareback to his pasture with a halter and lead and dragging a sled with his hay in it. As I was leaving the barn the lead rope untied from the halter so I only had a rein on one side but was able to still ride him back around the buildings and to the other pasture that way. (right click and say open in a new tab?) Caiden has named him Touch Down...

Frosty - I am opening it on my mac by doing a 2 finger click on the image box and selecting open in a new tab.

To see the pics on my Mac laptop with no mouse I used the quote button an then copy pasted the image URL in a new tab Frosty.
He is cute Jenni and looks so sweet. Is that Caiden on him? Looks like way too tall but time flies and I recall Caiden was growing quickly.

Yes r4f that is Caiden - He is 5 1/2 but is very tall for his age, the only ones as tall as him in his class are kids who have already turned 6. People guess him as a 1st or 2nd grader instead of kindergarten. Touchdown is a bit thin so Caiden's legs stretch down pretty far and make him look longer. Poor guy's topline is pretty depleted so his spine is quite pronounced - he's like riding a 2x4 turned sideways...
Frosty I did not get to try him. The place buys horses out of the kill pen or off auctions that they think are saleable, then lists them on their facebook page on Mondays with a short riding video and a description. They have a deadline of 2 pm on Friday or they ship (supposedly, I think they would probably take them to another sale). He had the most glowing write up I've seen them do and in the video they actually loped him. He seems to have been really broke at one point in his life. Turns on a dime 1 handed and moves off your leg, good brakes and backs. I think he'd spin and sidepass but I didn't ask him to. I have only ridden him briefly bareback in a halter/lead. I had actually asked about another horse and the lady who runs the site told me to wait a few minutes and they'd have his ad up and he would be perfect for what I wanted - they usually don't commit like that so I waited, watched the video and called immediately to buy.

Touch Down is a sweet looking guy and I know Jenni will get him whatever he needs in the way of dental work and horse groceries to get him to good weight. I think this is going to be win/win for Touch Down and Caiden.

Thanks Ride-4fun for posting the links. Touch Down looks like a nice guy that could use a little TLC. I'm sure he will bloom under Jenni's care, just like the other ponies.
