I entered the indoor yesterday to find a wooden bridge deck obstacle set up. I've done all kinds of these strange things with Cookei in the past, so it never even occurred to me that she might refuse to cross it. Refuse she did, for 15 minutes while I tried everything I could think of. Today, we tried again, refusal. Then a friendly pasturemate crossed it effortlessly.. I had set Cookie up perp. to the bridge, and she watched Beans carefully from start to halt. Cookie saw Beans didn't die, so she went across then w/o hesitation! Many times, then many more times undersaddle! She's a stubborn one, but she has a wonderful, sensible mind!
