Here are my Kiowa blackberries (Starks). I get 1-2 pints every other day from only two plants. I put the blackberries in less than two years ago. Next year I should have a lot more berries because the other two plants will have second-year growth. Yes, they have thorns. I also have thornless blackberries, but the chipmunks, birds and deer seem to get a lot of those. The longest berry today is just shy of 2 inches. Ih, and they are delicious, not just big.

We have wild ones on our property. I tried killing them for several years then gave up. The horses love picking them. But my guys are weird, they pick and eat the grapefruit and blueberries too.
