Had my appointment at Emory Wednesday. They took out the staples and stitches but left in the drain tube and the feeding tube. My tube feeding has been cut in half. I have been cleared to eat anything I want. I go back on the 29th and they are going to put me under mild sedation and "rework" the hole/s that showed up when the dead skin sloughed off in a few places. The sloughing was expected. Found out the 2 holes are actually connected underneath my skin. Dr. Galloway is doing the reworking because he said that he didn't think they would heal properly on their own. He also put me on a new, stronger antibiotic. Otherwise everything is going well. We have gotten most of our winter hay in. That was a challenge with me not being able to help.

Sounds like good news! you are finally healing up and isn't it a good feeling to get the hay in?
