Life stressers kind of strangled my motivation about 10 weeks ago. Gradually I let the wrong foods back into my life, quit riding regularly and in general sabatoged myself. I have gained back 18 of the 28 pounds I worked so hard to lose. Today I started yoga again, cut out all carbs and sugars for the next three days and will add in more exersize starting this afternoon. I promise to eat mindfully and increase my activities until I feel strong again. Send me healthy living vibes please. I'll update next Monday! My goal is a pound a week which should be fairly easy to reach.

I have gained back 18 of the 28 pounds I worked so hard to lose. UGHH! The same thing happened to me! (Or I should say, "I did the same thing") I lost 23 pounds and gained 13 of it back. I keep trying to get back on track and then I sabotage myself by not going to the gym. I was starting to get back on track with all of the flood relief efforts and I lost 5 lbs, but they came right back as soon as I stopped digging. When I'm not working out, I get too tired to work out. I HATE that! You are inspiring me. I want to feel good again. I will be going to the gym today.

congrats on getting back on track!
Maintaining my weight loss is a central focus in my life. If I drift even a little... the pounds jump right back on. My doctor told me that the more overweight or obese you were, the stronger the pull to regain. It is your body doing it. I don't know any answer or solution except to keep on doing it... eat little; move alot.

I love my Wii, I've added strength training to my yoga workout, and I'm back to walking 40 minutes a day. I've been sticking to no carbs/ no sugar for six days and I'm having results. I have dropped 5 pounds in six days, although I'm sure at least half of that is water, it still feels good to get quick results and hear (the Wii) positive feedback on a daily basis. My gut doesn't feel so bloated and I've quit craving sweets. YAY! I'm hoping to be down 10 real pounds by Thanksgiving and hold that thru Christmas, this is really tough time of year to lose weight, since my family celebrates like most....by eating yummy everythings...lol... Dianalee, I would never make it to the gym, if I don't do my stuff first thing in the morning at home, then it goes to the bottom of the list.... I feel so much better getting off the sugar, I just need blinders for the next couple months...

, this is really tough time of year to lose weight, since my family celebrates like most....by eating yummy everythings...lol... Dianalee, I would never make it to the gym, if I don't do my stuff first thing in the morning at home, then it goes to the bottom of the list.... I feel so much better getting off the sugar, I just need blinders for the next couple months... I wish I could exercise at home. I get too distracted. I start exercising and then I think about a cage that needs to be cleaned (around here there is ALWAYS a cage that needs to be cleaned!) or the twins join me and then they either start talking about other exercises that can be done or they quit early...either way, I join in. When I go to the gym, I sometimes have a hard time getting through the weight lifting part, but when I get on the treadmill, I watch the calories that I'm burning go up and up and up and it makes me want to burn off just a few more. And I don't want to quit early since I've gone to the trouble to go there. But the gym is a 7 minute drive from my house and it's next to Murdoch's and Home Depot and Costco, so there is always a good reason to go over that way. Also, it's cookie baking time and I always lose weight during cookie baking time. One really good treat with really good ingredients satisfies my craving for holiday treats way better than pigging out on store bought junk and it's easy to subtract those calories from lunch.

DL, we love your cookies! I have been faithfully working out every day for the past 10 days. 20 minutes of yoga, 15 minutes of strength training and today I added in 20 minutes of Zumba dance.(I'm such a klutz but managed to struggle through) With my horse chores and walking in the morning with Tumbles, I'm hoping to stay on track. I'm not craving other foods (carbs) so I'm staying off of them right now but I should start adding in some fresh vegies or vitamins since my diet is unbalanced. My weight is showing 7 lbs lighter than 10 days ago, every couple days I show a little more loss, so I think I can claim a weight loss of five pounds in 10 days. Not bad!

So easy to do. I am so lucky I rediscovered swimming. I swim 4 to 5 days a week for at least an hour and am the most fit I have been since I was a kid. The weight is coming off slowly now and when I went to the ER for chest pains a while back the Dr told me-keep on swimming-no matter if it hurts. My heart is strong and I can move better than I have in many years. I look darn good too. Even the boobs are firmer again. LOL (still not like when I was 30 though) I still have a tiny pooch but I think its not going to go away since its right at my spay scar. I'm not super thin but I am about where my Dr wanted me to be, Maybe 4 more lbs or so. But I am going to go about this slowly. I was stuck at around 190-185 for a year but they started Aqua Zumba and I dropped to 177-179. I LOVE IT!!!
