3 hrs and 20 min... very good! I'm sure that is probably right! Do that 6 times a week and you will be losing at least 3 lbs a week! Not to mention that the muscle you build will burn calories faster!

It is great to get points for doing what you like best! I personally find calorie counts a little dubious though, I mean, I notice physically that it is a lot more difficult to say work hard in a lesson and I might be really tired after an hour whereas I can trail ride for 3 hours and probably didn't work that hard.
I am actually dubious of calorie counts on other stuff too. I should weigh 85# (which I don't!) based on what myfitnesspal.com claims I burn in some activities!

shhhhhhhhhhhh...don't burst my bubble. I just spent yesterday and all morning today at a clinic learning balance and dressage basics. I'm exhausted! Actual riding time was less than two hours each day. Sam and I were hanging our heads..... We quit early today because I thought Sam was just worn out mentally and physically and I was close behind... I agree with you about lessons being so much more intense and a much harder workout... Trail riding is much easier and much more fun...so probably burn a lot less calories but I was only sharing what MyFitness told me...

Donna, I am with you, I take the calorie count it reports for me too!!! I just don't believe that I am burning like 600 calories everytime I get on the elliptical.

Wouldn't work for me.....as slow as Miss C likes to move, I would likely be absorbing calories from the atmosphere.
