This last year was pretty intense. Diagnosed with SAD disorder and PMDD.. fell into a depression last winter, stopped losing weight and started gaining. I stopped nursing my son and my hormones went nuts. Doctor put me on anti depressants, and I gained another 20lbs.. went off the meds and started Vitamin D therapy - which seems to be helping. The weight however has had a stubborn streak, and after walking, zumba and healthy eating - nothing. My mom, bless her heart offered to put me on her Herbal magic plan. The new me starts the beginning of January.

Good luck! I feel a lot of your pain. I had terrible post partum anxiety, furthered by C being deployed and the stress of being in the AF. Then there was the stress of trying to get out early enough that I could move with C when he moved to San Antonio. But then I got out and thought I was fine so stopped my meds only to realize I couldn't workout without them, so I'm back on them and have been working out but now I'm weaning Logan and it feels like I'm PMSing all the time. I also feel sad for no reason. How long did it take for your hormones to calm down after weaning?
I've been doing couch to 5k and Chalean extreme for the last 6 weeks. I've definitely toned up but only lost a couple of pounds. So I'm going to start eating along the lines of the McDougall diet once my books get here. I very rarely feel like eating meat anymore and don't have a lot of vegetarian recipes so I've just been eating cereal and almond milk for the most part, with a good dinner.
Anyway, keep posting about what you're doing here! I've been updating a thread with my working out, and it helps me keep on track and stay focused...especially right now around the holidays.

Hey Steph, that's rough! My hormones are starting to level out a bit, though my boobs haven't gone down any and I can still express and that's from weaning last June! (hoping the weighloss will help that, and if it doesn't I'll have to go back on Birth control and consider a breast reduction.. riding with size E bowling balls in front of you is pretty danged painful.
Keep up the good work, I have no motivation for C25K... lol I wish I did. I know the herbal magic team will help me out with motivation and accountability, as well as the support in trying to lose weight with a busy family to look after as well. I'm not into the pills, I just need the support. We'll see how it goes!
I'm hoping to be down to my ultimate goal weight of 175lbs by October of 2012 (toned - sounds heavy still, but being a naturally curvy 5f10 European boned woman, it's where my body feels most comfortable..) I'd like to be about 50lbs lighter by June/July.. we'll see how it goes!

Herbal magic sounds interesting based on the name alone...I haven't heard of it before.
I want to lose 20-25 pounds. As far as breasts...I told DH that when we've decided for good no more kids and I've lost my 20 pounds I want a breast lift, lol. I don't care about a reduction since I tend to lose a lot in my chest when I lose weight but man they're saggy now!
