With Nib's frog support pads, keeping everything clean can be a challenge. And if they aren't kept clean, then you are set up for thrush and fungus. I was having trouble getting all of the mud and yuck out from under the support at the heel, and hit on a great idea. I took an empty Ambsorbine Thrush Remedy bottle, and filled it with water. It's got a nice tip on the end, which reaches right up where I need it to go. If I squeeze the bottle, it shoots a pretty strong jet of water up there and washes away any dirt or debris. I do this before applying thrush meds, which I do on a regular basis when the weather is really wet. This way his foot is nice and clean, and more of the medicine can get where it needs to be. Oh, and just to make sure I don't grab the wrong bottle and wash his foot with the expensive thrush meds, I wrapped duct tape around the old bottle and wrote "water" on it with a permanent marker

Amber, you can also buy these little brass hose ends that look just like the end of the Absorbine bottle. They call them pressure washers but they really don't compare to a real one; but they're great for stuff like this and you don't start squirting air.

Unless you don't have access to a hose...
