Here is the link for the commercial trap. I have one several years old. It still looks like new and works like a charm. Flies that show up here end up in my trap within minutes. Horse Pal www.bitingflies.com If you want to try to make your own, here are the directions: muextension.missouri.edu/xplor/agguides/pests/g07013.htmIf the whole link doesn't take you there, it is Agriculture Guide G7013 Protecting Cattle From Horse Flies. I have a Horse Pal down here by the house and the horses go stand next to it if they are being bothered by the deer flies. I put my homemade one up in my arena, and it has some residents as well. Read the reviews on the Horse Pal site. These things really do work and make life much more enjoyable for the horses. And if you add up the cost of repellant over the summer, they pay for themselves in short order.
