Actually... trailpal, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Zappa one of the few who avoided drugs at all costs? I'm remembering something about that in the back of my head...

Yeah, none of his songs are really sensible... from the mind of Frank Zappa...

But that raising dental floss has always stuck with me.

I guess he illustrates the idea that "truth is stranger than fiction". He was very much into satire which is really where most of his weird songs are coming from. He was also very much into free speech rights and tangled with politicians in his day.

I'm not sure I agree with everything he has to say - but he does have the right to say them.
