I made some beef soup this week and I think it was the best I have ever made! No kidding! Even Stella thought it was great too. She wanted to know what I put into it for flavor.
I used a large stock pot pan.. one of those that stands about 12 inches tall.
I put all my meat chunks in there and a bunch of water.
chopped up a small red onion and tossed it in
( it was about 2 inches in diameter)
dumped about 1 tablespoon of black pepper
dumped about 2 tablespoons or more
of sea salt
a couple shakes of marjoram
a couple shakes of thyme
a couple shakes of poultry seasoning
about a tsp of celery seed
a couple shakes of Mrs Dash
more than a couple shakes of WEBER grill creations
Roasted Garlic and Herb seasoning
Diced up a couple stalks of celery.
13 ounce can of tomato sauce
I let all of this simmer all day. It made the meat nice and tender.
next day..
I added equal amounts of green beans, corn and peas.
added about 3/4 cup of barley
and a few handfuls of black eyed dry peas.
and cooked them in the soup stock for a few hours.
Next I cooked up a few handfuls of Kluski noodles in some of the soup broth.
Now that everything was cooked, I put it all together.
YUM!!
