The colt where I board my mare still has no name. He is 3 months old and just a little stinker. He is really turning out to be stunning. But its strange, I would have sworn that he was going to turn grey but he is shedding out to be a very dark bay instead-course then its not over til the spring shed anyways. His sire is Euroladdinn who is by Aladdin, X Esconcja who is by Negatraz. He is pure polish. Sadly Euroladdinn died this summer and this may be his last foal, he did breed a mare the day before he died. We still aren't sure if she took or not. Its kinda moot point to check her as she wouldn't be re-bred til spring and by then it will be apparent. (Not my horse-I wouldn't be able to stand the suspense.) But I was thinking if I gave them a list of names it might make it much easier for him to name him. His heart is broken about Laddie, so he really is having a hard time coming up with a name. So any ideas??  |

What is the dam's name? Since "Laddie" was important to him, we do want to incorporate that.

Never mind about mom's name - I guess I was brain-dead.
He looks too sweet to handle the whole sire's name. How about Laddie's Shiloh (honestly, my Shiloh is a bay with a teeny white star - even smaller than this guy's, so they remind me of each other) Actually Laddie's anything would work great - what kind of personality does he have? Does the mare have a "barn name"?

I thought his star looked like a shooting star, so I went to the archives from when Chris was searching for a star name for Leo before TroyLynn bought him. "Well a shooting star, or meteor, is Nayzak...I have a gelding with that name. Not too common actually. It's pronounced Nigh zak"
I'd be tempted to go with Euroladdins meteor or Euroladdin Nayzak for the papers.

Nope mom doesn't have a nickname just Esconcja. Which is pronounced Es-Kon-gZa. I have a real hard time remembering it. I'm not to sure a Laddie anything will fly with them since he hurts so much-he was all ready to quit breeding altogether. Such a shame when he has this gorgeous stallion still left out there.ESTOUNDINN He had named other Laddie babies ESTOUNDINN, EURESPECIALE, EUROKADENCE, EUROSWYFT, (Swifty, he is a gelding the daughter rides-NICE horse-he should have been left a stallion, and then the last two filly's out of this cross were Luna, registered name EUROLUNANUEVA, (she is my mares best buddie next to her goat Nana-but then Luna loves Nana too. Going to be sad for them when I move them home) And one they just sold, wish I could remember her name. He is kinda a stinker, has been since birth. LOL LOL Eurostinker. LOL  Ohh I think I might have found one Euroespíritu, Spanish for spirit, he defiantly has that. But I'm going to copy everyones ides and see which way they want to fly. Oh I forgot to say, he might be the mares last too, she has a growth in her throat right next to her windpipe and jugular and its inoperable, it make it hard for her to eat and breath at the same time. such a shame she is well trained western (showed too-did well) and is the sweetest mare. (well next to mine that is-LOL) Here is a cool photo I took of them last month.  And one that shows her the best, yes thats the little guy.  Big full brother Estoudinn.
