This is a family favorite recipe that we HAVE to have at every holiday meal.
CORN CASSEROLE
1 can Creamed Corn (12 to 14 ounce can) 1 can Whole Kernel Corn... DRAINED (12 to 14 ounce can) 1 package Jiffy Cornbread 8 ounce Carton Sour Cream 1 egg 4 tablespoons melted butter (DO NOT SUBSITUTE MARGARINE)
Combine all the ingredients and stir together.
Put in a square 8 x 8 baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until and inserted knife comes out clean.

The first time we ever had it was at an FFA banquet.. my DH and I both went ga ga over it.. and decided it HAD to be a family tradition.. I cut down on the butter a little bit.. because the original recipe had a layer of oil floating on top We have had it every Thanksgiving.. and every Christmas since 1994 (except one thanksgiving )

What would this be a good side dish for? I guess it isn't like a cornbread since it is called casserole. Is it more similiar to a dressing?

Sheryl, we make it for pretty much any hearty meal as the corn dish-instead of creamed corn or corn corn, we serve it.
MmM...ham would be yummah! We've always had it with our big turkey meal.
