We usally have big dinners. My boyfriend doesn't always get to eat lunch so likes to come home to something filling. I could easily get by on a salad and quiche or grilled veggies and lean meat but he says this isn't eough for him. What ideas do you have so that I don't have to make 2 different dinners? My little sister is not a picky eater and will eat anything you give her.
Thanks!

Can you make a hearty potato side for him and/or things like cheese sauce on the side for the grilled veggies so you are making just one extra item? Or sometimes can he just have bread and butter or mayo with the lean meats to get some extra? Other than that I can't think of anything.

If you do the typical Veggie/Protien/Starch plan for dinner, you can both eat the veggie and protein and he can have the starch. Or you could eat some of everything, the key is portion control. Lots of sites will give you visual comparisons so you can gauge your portions without weighing everything. Like a protein portion is the size of a deck of cards, a starch portion is half a baseball (I think) and a veggie portion is the size of a whole baseball. A cheese portion is something like two-three cubes the size of dice. Or you could step outside the box and have him carry a lunch, it would be much healthier for him to eat spread out through the day instead of once or twice.
