I have an idea for two separate "sticky" threads for the top of this forum...
One thread for "good" foods we've discovered throughout or days-things we ate that made us feel good, think good, and weigh good...
And a separate thread for "bad" foods-foods that we ate that had an adverse reaction to our day, disposition, and weight...like the day I ate the mix of dried fruits and nuts and ended up weighing more, or how eating bread made us crabby, etc.
What do you all think?

Well, I think your intent is a good one. It is nice to have hints and tips of ways of eating that are working well for people at this point.
Due to my personal history with the emotional aspect of eating and dieting, I prefer to avoid labeling food "good" or "bad". I have a lot to say about that, and about "all or nothing" kind of thinking as it relates to eating healthier, but that is my baggage, not everyone elses...lol. To me, words do matter and I guess I am a little uncomfortable with giving food that much power - black or white - good or bad.

I understand your point...perhaps there would be a different way of labeling...after all..."bad" foods can have "good" effects for different people. My mom and I do well on ice cream, which normally wouldn't be "good"
Plus, even on a crappy day, junk food makes us feel better...yesterday I splurged and had pop and cookies at Subway, but I've found that Subway cookies don't make my body feel like garbage, but Chips A'hoy do. So even with the power of comfort food, we can find certain comfort foods that don't cause our bodies as much turmoil.
Did I make any sense?

oh cherokee!!! me too!! me too!!! I can eat a couple of subway cookies and not feel glubby. (I made that word up!! ) but when you used to ask for Chips ahoy.. I would eat some and feel so 'glubby' later.. and on a 'downer' the next morning. oh!!! and that brownie mix with the walnuts that I always loved... I may never bake them again.. I love them.. but cant eat just one.. and boy do they make me feel like garbage later. what about new years eve!!! all those snacky appetizers... cheesy things.. high fat.. the next day I feel like I was on a big drunk the night before.. and usually all I had was a diet drink.

JUST a diet drink? I don't THINK so.
How 'bout wine? That's usually a staple of our family's events!

I dunno; I think what's *good* or *bad* can be very individual, depending on the diet the person's following and the person's own chemistry. For example, Subway cookies make me ill, especially if I eat them by themselves. With a little protein I do okay. But that's me; I'm hypoglycemic; so I'd put Subway cookies in the *bad* group for me. I like the word 'glubby.' Group? What do you think?
