So if you're squeemish, don't read this thread. Or if you're offended by too much information...I'm often guilty of providing it Anyway...when I went on a good-eating routine with Mom, I lived at home. I didn't have a regular job. Before the wedding, I was very worried about having to poop in my dress, so for weeks I worked on my system...I figured out how to plan my fiber mix and coffee and I learned my "timing" and didn't have any problems Now that I have a job that requires me to leave the house at 7 in the morning and I often don't get back till 5:30-6 at night (three days a week I leave that early), my system is MESSED UP. I'm one of those who can't poop away from home. It's not that I won't...I just...can't. I still take my fiber mix, but my clockwork doesn't kick in by the time I leave for work...then all day at work, instead of working out, my guts expand. I swear it's like a I have a rumen, fermenting everything. All day I gurgle and groan and I swear my intestines squeek. But, it doesn't come out. They just bloat, and bloat, and bloat. You can imagine what my days off are like when I'm at home and my guts are relaxed. It's just a big load of fun. Any suggestions other than getting my lazy butt out of bed an hour earlier? Eventually that's my goal, but I'm. Just. So. Tired. Especially when I get home late 2 nights of the week.

Welcome to my world In forty years I haven't figured anything out. I went out of town for ten days and because we stayed in so many different places I never got comfortable or relaxed It was a VERY long ten days!

you guys are funny. For me, it just takes an endurance ride. Don' tknow if the nerves kick the gut juices into overtime or what, but I have to keep a porta potty in the trailer and use it about 4 times before the start of the ride!

Fish Oil capsules work for me. I take three a day to help with cholesterol but each morning, I drink two glasses of water when I first get up and the previous days fish oil goes into effect.
Magnesium also works but you have to be sure not to take too much.

LOL too funny. But when I worked I would get up 2 HOURS before I went in for just this very reason. It gave my body enough time to wake up. Yep, I was up at 5:30 to make it to a 7 am job. Although I find prune juice will make you me within a 1/2 hour. But then I have never had a problem with not going when I am not at home. I guess the world is my toilet. LOL Oh and I am as regular as rain something my mom envys.

I am sympathetic, but I couldn't help but find this a little funny too. I guess that would put a real cramp (pun intended) in any big elaborate travel plans!
One time, I was somewhere in Europe... I don't remember if it was Germany or not... anyway, the public restrooms weren't single sex, or maybe just weren't segregated by much. I just had to pee, but could not go when I heard a male voice. I had a great laugh with a British cab driver over this very same issue... he never thought he was shy until going to France and finding the women wandering in and out of the mens room since the line was shorter.
