Do you plan your food for each day ahead? I find that if I don't plan OR if I don't follow my plan, I don't do nearly as well.
Unfortunately I signed up to do a Mr Gatti's pizza mystery shop before I decided (today) to really track my food.
My plan for tomorrow: breakfast: smoothie (non-fat dry milk, frozen strawberries, yogurt) snack: 1 oz Panera rye bread with butter; 1 slice swiss cheese lunch: 1/2 medium pizza with mushrooms only snack: banana and strawberries mixed together (like fruit salad); 1 slice swiss cheese dinner: 1 serving spaghetti dessert or whenever: 3/4 cup 2% milk with small amount (1/2 t? or 1 t?) of Hershey's choc syrup

Well I have cereal, Kasha Go-Lean crunch is good. and I cut up a banana in it and use 1% milk. I can't stand non-fat. Then for lunch some sort of a sandwich...I found that high fiber bread is good for you and lower in points (plus I love the hearty taste) The more veggies you can pile on the sandwich the better. and then the no-fat cheeses are quite good. I might just have a grilled cheese sandwich tomorrow-with yummy pepperoncinis and maybe some tomato-not sure how tomato will go over. I love those darn pepperoncinis though. Then night is usually a "big ass" salad with lite dressing (I love balsamic) and a low cal TV dinner of some sort. Heck not only am I losing weight, I am saving money. I found a great drink that is NO points. frozen unsweetened raspberries in raspberry flavored Crystal light. Wish I had a blender. I used to make a really good desert out of frozen fruit, sweetener, and cottage cheese. But the new skinny cows are just so much better. I mean its chocolate and cookie dough flavored. I want to try the ice cream cone type one next. I know as I get smaller the points will also get less but heck right now I have a really hard time eating all those points.

I agree, Dorothy! I like planning at least a day ahead, and lately I've been planning about two weeks ahead so I can shop, ride, and eat well too.
Breakfast is always a slice of homemade whole wheat bread (and I mean WHOLE. WHEAT. Nothing refined! And made with olive oil and honey) with a tablespoon of peanut butter. And a piece of low glycemic fruit like an apple. I'm hypoglycemic, and watching what I eat in the mornings helps a BUNCH toward feeling right.
Snack will probably be a cup of decaf with cream. I know I know, but I'm so fat!
Lunch will be a Kashi box, since I have no leftover soups right now. That's my usual lunch. I don't know which one yet; whichever is on top in the freezer. And probably a couple of walnuts and a piece of fruit.
Snack when I come home from the barn is one of my favorite things! Cut up an apple and put it in a bowl. Top with half a cup of unsweetened yogurt with a few drops of good vanilla and cinnamon. Cinnamon is AWESOME for blood sugar levels; it acts to stabilize it. Some doctors are even recommending that diabetics include a half teaspoon of cinnamon per day in their diet. I might crack a walnut or two to throw in for added flavor and crunch. I prefer to get whole raw nuts when I can; it slows down how fast I eat them. Walnuts are high in heart healthy fats, and one walnut has just 26 calories! They really add to the feeling of satiation.
Dinner will be bean burritos in whole wheat tortillas, and a organic romaine salad with balsamic vinegar and herbed olive oil. I got some clementines, so I think that'll be dessert.

I haven't decided entirely, but I have some salmon fillets in freezer and some frozen veggies, that will probably be dinner (and no dessert tonight). Lunch is probably a can of Progresso soup. For "exercise" (man its so dang cold still with lots of snow!) I'll probably got get the mail, that works out to a half mile round trip, and clean a couple of stalls.

I don't plan the entire day... I am not that detail oriented I am afraid (one of the reasons I left my career in accounting!)
I do try to plan out dinners for the week. I plan 6 dinners and then am kinda flexible about which one for which night. Last night, I went to the barn came home, ate dinner, and fell asleep so my cook ahead plans didn't really work out....
