One donut wont make or break things. But I like to do like Stephanie and have some munchie cereal (toasted oats, quaker oat squares etc) at work that I can munch on. I have an office so I just buy a box and leave it there, but the baggies of cereal would allow portion control and be more portable.

Alenka, don't feel bad ... tomorrow is a new day. Sometimes soup and sandwiches is what works for dinner!
I made mediterranean fish for dinner with brown rice. Love that meal and it is very fast and easy! I also had some butternut squash soup - yummy.

I agree.
I would add, though, that instead of waiting until "tomorrow", each moment is a new moment. So, if you slip and have a donut, or whatever you didn't really WANT to eat...don't wait until tomorrow.
It's done, and over. Don't dwell on it. Keep going, as each minute is a new moment of success.

Thanks guys.. I did much better today! I had... for breakfast, a whole wheat and honey bagel, toastes with herb and garlic cream cheese (just on one side, lightly done, I don't like a lot at all).. I had coffee with it, but only got to drink about half before I felt too full. For lunch, I had about 1 cup of broccolli/rice/chicken/cheese cassarole, some fat free strawberry yogurt with a bit of granola on it to give it some substance, and an orange. I didn't eat a snack at mid morning, or afternoon... ohhh how I wanted a piece of that carrot cake we were giving to the kids for afternoon snack... but no, I walked away from it. I did good! I told myself that the granola was my treat. I came home though, and was famished, so I drank some water, and just ate some toast with peanut butter on it. I am staying away from margarine. Peanut butter is higher in fat, BUT it has the good nutrients in it, and the essential fats you need. In moderation, for as often as I have toast (not often...) I think it's a better choice... do you? ANyway, I realize now that I had a lot of starch today.. so I'll stop anything else with starch for the night... "Dinner" tonight, for when the guys come home.. is lean beef meatball subs (for them with cheese and pizza sauce on sub buns). I'm going to have a few meatballs if I'm hungry with the spaghetti sauce, but make a small spinach salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. That'll be it for tonight.. maybe some orange slices for dessert. Is that too much food for the day???

Yeah I'm pretty sure that I have heard that peanut butter can really aid weight loss because its so satisfying and not just for a few minutes. I've never really cared for margarine or even butter on toast, bagels, etc ---I prefer just peanut butter or cream cheese etc. Too bad I like so many other high calorie low nutrition 'foods'

Definately.
Margarine is soooo bad for you. Butter is bad, but a lot better than margarine.
Peanut butter is a good choice.
Not too much food.
Just make sure you are not letting yourself get really hungry.
And, add lots of fruits, veggies and salad.
Don't go crazy cutting out the fat. Your body NEEDS good fats, AND it helps keep you satiated.
People eat more when they eat low or no fat foods.

Okies, Gotcha. And thanks, I had read somewhere that peanut butter was much better for you all around.. but that was a long while ago, and just wanted to make sure I actually didn't feel hungry tonight.. I went grocery shopping while the guys were at hockey (had the meatballs in the crockpot - bless that appliance)... I went shopping and had a list for the guys and for me.. I bought some whole wheat pastas for when I do spaghetti's and stuff, they may not like it, but it's not hard to toss one more pot on for me and my own "portion" I'm trying to down a glass of V* in the morning, at lunch, and at night. I drink it instead of juice. I bought pomegranates tonight for me... LOVE them... same with grapfruit and seedless BIG oranges.. yummy. Maybe the guys will catch on. I also bought Kellogs Vanilla almond cereal for munching like you guys said. I bought some bulk flax to toss into it and onto my "cream of wheat" or on toast with some peanut butter in the morning... I'm trying to go high fiber and protiene with veggies... but less white starches and sugars... Oh... I also slid by the drugstore on my way home and bought a scale! I want to be serious and keep track of myself. No second guessing! I really want to be on the right page for this. Tomorrow night, boneless/skinless chickenbreasts with paprika/pepper, steamed spinach with a dash of pepper and some baked potatoes... (I'll have a half... a potato).. and some raw baby carrots for munching with no fat sour cream dip! Yum the only thing the guys wont eat is the spinach.. LOL More for me! MUHAHAHA!
