Not sure what this year's fad is, but last year it was chicken lasagne that was brought to a couple of potlucks that I was at. Unfortunately I didn't get the recipe. Took "the chocolate thing" to a dinner last week and had two people ask for the recipe. Here it is in case some haven't seen it before. Here's the recipe:
1 C flour 1 stick margarine 1 C chopped nuts (I use walnuts or pecans)
Mix the above 3 ingredients and press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Let cool.
1 pkg cream cheese (8 ounces), softened 1 C powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla
Cream together the above 3 ingredients.
1 C Cool Whip (from a 8 ounce container)
Fold 1 cup cool whip into the cream cheese mixture above. Spread that mixture over the cooled baked crust in your pan.
1 pkg instant vanilla pudding mix (small box) 1 pkg instant chocolate pudding mix (small box) 3 C milk
Mix puddings and milk well, spread over the cream cheese layer. Cover with remainder of the cool whip. Refrigerate at least one hour.
