No, I didn't have too much steam. But, I did manage to burn the sugar on the bottom of the pan like MA warned us about..... I should have followed your advice with the test kernals. I thought I could get away with just stirring.... I should have listened.... When you burn the sugar onto the bottom, then you don't have much sugar and salt on the popcorn.....
Oh, and note that the recipe above--someone forgot to add the salt. Cynthia didn't forget--it was published that way. How much salt do you guys use?
But, I got the pan clean again. I anticipate having my popper on Tuesday. Linda

I am wrong--there is no salt in kettle corn--only sugar. I am now the proud owner of a Whirley-Pop----and the popcorn it makes is unbelievably good! No more microwave popcorn in the house for me. I tried their kettle corn recipe first----excellent. And, cleanup was a breeze.
