6 cups apple cider 1 cinnamon stick 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/3 cup honey 3 tablespoons lemon juice (easiest to buy one lemon and squeeze the juice out) 1 tsp lemon rind (if you have a grater you can scrape the rind) 2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
heat cider and cinnamon stick in a large pan add remaining ingrecients and simmer uncovered 5 minutes keep hot

I like to make this for parties and keep it in a crockpot on low, with a ladle for serving.
It's also wonderful with butter (real butter) melted in it, the fats carry all those yummy flavors. And though I don't do alcohol any more, it's really good with a shot of rum in it - Hot Buttered Rum. (put the rum in your cup and ladle the cider over it).

We were supposed to have that fancy wine at Thanksgiving.. but since my dil had to work... and Stella and I wanted to share it with her..
we opted to just wait until Christmas.
hey STella... it will be YOUR responsibility to help me REMEMBER to get those bottles of wine out!!
