Okay the other night I made cookies, the first batch got a little burnt. Second batch the rack fell on one side and the cookies slid into one massive cookie! So already I have a bunch I can't serve at Christmas so Hubby and I ate them. I had a dozen and half in the freezer waiting for quests. What do I see hubby eatting today? The guests cookies! Good grief I'm alreay a two and a half dozon behind and he's eatting my supplies! He jokes around and goes gets another ggggrrrrr. I told him if I see him with another it's skipping a step and going where the sun don't shine He left them alone but I have a feeling he'll get into them when he gets home. Any ideas on how to booby trap them? ??

Oh I think it works here. My parents had a friend when I was a kid whose secret was to pack them in non-see thru containers and label them liver. The scrounger has to not know how many cookies were made tho. Some cookie doughs can be frozen then baked frozen and if you DH is not a raw dough eater this would keep him out of the cookies + you could serve yummy hot from the oven cookies to guests if its not going to be a huge group at once.

Hum? I only have clear contaniers, Even if I labeled it liver or something hubby would look in just to see what it really was *lol*

--yah, it worked for her cuz she had teen boys (not good diggers) and they did butcher a cow every year so there was actually liver in some containers. Sounds like you need a friendly neighbor with freezer space who would guard your cookies in exchange for a small platefull of them. I can empathize a bit -- I baked a snack cake sunday. We all had generous portions.
When I came home monday only 1/4 of the pan was left. Good think I used all splenda but still I don't think my dad shoulda ate that much with his t2 diabetes. Oh well it kept me from eating way too much. Now last year I made pumpkin choc chip cookies from Chris's recipe, I tripled the batch (I always at least double when I bake which is seldom) I didn't want to bake all those batches of cookies so I spooned out cookies, froze them on flat surface on my foil and then I bagged em up --I had 2 sets of nice cookies later on with very little effort. So freezing the dough works for me. Keeps me and dad out of the goodies.
