Anyone want a horse treat recipe? I found this one in Practical Horseman way back in the early '90's. Have yet to meet a horse who doesn't like them. Keep in mind, the I have cut the recipe they provided down to 1/4 to keep the batch small.
4 cups oat based sweet feed 1 cup flour 1 cup molasses 1/8 cup beer
pre-heat oven to 350, mix ingredients together and place in a well greased pan. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes. Remove from oven and cut into 1" squares. Place back in oven (turned off of course) to de-hydrate overnight.
Now, instead of doing squares what I do is use a small muffin tin so that I get individual sized horse treats without having to cut apart the treats.

Hey, I really like that mini muffin tin idea! That's really inspired!
