Ok - you ready for a couple great, easy recipes with only a few ingredients? These are both for the crock pot/slow cooker.
Ham and Cola
1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark) (lightly packed) 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1/4 cup cola flavored soda 3 - 4 pound pre-cooked ham
Combine brown sugar and mustard. Moisten with enough cola to a make a paste - reserve remaining cola.
Rub entire ham with mixture.
Place ham in slow cooker and add remaining cola.
Cover. Cook on Low 6 -10 hours, or High 2 -3 hours.
Turkey Breast
4 - 6 pound boneless, skinless turkey breast 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
Place thawed turkey in slow cooker. Sprinkle garlic powder and onion soup mix over breast.
Cover. Cook on Low 8 - 10 hours.
(I found a boneless turkey breast at the local SAM's Club, but it wasn't skinless - still worked pretty darn good)

That turkey sounds really good! I bet it's a lot moister than the oven roasted version. Thanks for posting these; I've really got to try that turkey, just as soon as the weather breaks!

Mary Ann, the beauty of crock pot is that you can cook a nice meal without heating up the house!

Yeah, but when it's as hot as it's been lately, gimme a nice shrimp salad, not anything hot!

me too, but I'm stuck making hot dinners for a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I made a nice grilled chicken salad and got a "what's this" remark...
