I took him to the groomer a bit ago, and Bob told me that there's two families that live 4 blocks from my house. The first family coudln't keep him in the house, he kept bolting (something he's done here as well) so they gave him to the neighbors that have a fenced in yard. Well they couldn't keep him in either. So they kept pushing him back and forth. Bob is very sure that he came from them, although they all completely deny that he's theirs. But he fits the description, both physically and how he acts. So it looks like we're the only ones who want him.

Awww, poor little man. I'm happy he found you and you found him rather than a truck or a car finding him.

He had to cross a very busy highway to get to my house. So he is VERY lucky that he didn't meet a car or truck. Although it was 8am when I found him, and there wasn't much traffic. But lucky anyways. I couldn't name him Lucky, though, because that's my big Shepherd/Collie mix's name!

Well I'm glad that's settled, then! I like Little Man for a name. It's cute.
But do you feel you can stop the bolting?

Well I'm glad that's settled, then! I like Little Man for a name. It's cute. But do you feel you can stop the bolting? I suppose teaching him "Stay!" would help. If I can teach him that when I say "Stay!" he has to stop, then I can tell him "Stay!" before I open the door. Also always tel him "OK" or "Out" when he's on his leash and going out, so he knows it's ok. I don't know if it will work or not, but it's worth a try! Other than that, just being really careful. Just work with the same commands each and every time you open the door or take him out and he will pick it up quick. He's a smart little guy...just look where he ended up ;D
Give him lots of scritches for me!
