Arrrrrgggghhh!!! What would you do?
I have a tentative offer with a company. Good salary, awesome place to work, trick is that the hours are 9-5. Meaning that I don't get home until 6:30 and THEN have to go to the barn, and come home, eat dinner, etc. I cannot do the barn in the morning as the manager does not feed until 7:00 am and that does not give me enough time to clean his stall, feed him and get his food ready for the next day. AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right now I work 8:30 - 4:30 and that's pushing it. Sorry, just need to vent, and I have to make a decision by tomorrow and I have been looking for so long!

Will they be flexible on the hours at all?? My hubby has the best hours - he works 6:00 am until 2:30. I work 10:00 am until 2:00 pm (3 days a week). I couldnt' do the 6:00 am thing - but he doesn't seem to need as much sleep as I do! Course, taking care of two kids wears me out...

nope, they will not budge one inch on the work hours. And apparently, every single person there works 9-5. Bummer

That sucks, but it could be worse. Pretty much everyone works about 7:30 - 5:00 (or even later) where I work, short lunch too. Of course we are salaried....
I am actually trying to move my schedule way earlier since I have so many phone conferences etc with people in our European offices - 9 hour time difference. I would love to work 6-2:30, it is the getting out by 2:30 that is the problem. What I dont want to do is work 6-5!
I have similiar problems of working around barn feeding schedule etc. Maybe you need to rethink the whole evening - come home and do dinner etc and then ride later? That is what we did for much of the winter. Rode atarting around 7 or 7:30 at night. I then shifted my schedule to earlier, but now we are at a new barn and I have no idea what the timing will be yet.
