Whew! I did my first inventory last night. It was one of the huge anchor stores at the mall, they were already on the second day, and we were there until 3am getting it done. Wow that's a lotta stuff! I was so tired (staying at home made me into a wimp!)I accidentally went on the wrong street leaving and spent a good 20 minutes driving AWAY from home! When I got home Steve was in a panic, wondering where the hell I was at, how he was going to get Allisen to his Mom's so he could work. I made it home about 5 minutes before he had to walk out the door. My boss apologized for not letting me know in advance how long I was going to be there, I'd figured on 4-6 hours! But everyone was nice, and willing to help me when I had a problem, which was fairly often! But the boss said I was doing fine, not to worry too much about making a mistake. That's what I really like about this company. They know any errors I make are going to be found, and completely realize that I WILL make mistakes as I'm learning how to do this. So they don't get worked up about it, they show me how to correct my mistake and we move on. I love that!
Some good came out of me being so late last night, Steve decided it would be a good idea for me to have a cell phone, so we're going to go get one for me tomorrow! It will actually save us money getting me a cell phone, because we're getting another one from the same company as Steve, and it will be free for us to talk to each other, so we won't have to worry about how much we talk to each other during the day. AND my mom has a phone with that company as well, and hers has a small minute plan, so we will be able to talk for free as well!
AND, can anyone tell me how to teach a husband to MEASURE the animal food? He fed the animals while I was at work, and he seems to have remembered to measure the dogs' food, but, even though he KNOWS Gizmo and Sasha are on a diet, and he KNOWS that even if he forgets the exact amount, they get less than one cup, split between then, did he give them EACH fa full cup of food?
