this is sad ... She has her 25th B-day today and at about 7:00am I hear this horrendous hysterical scream and sobbing coming out of her room, I run from the kitchen to her room and she is snow white, can't talk at all, just points at something small on the floor. Apparently her hamster had gotten out at night and her cat thought it was a midnight snack. All that was left was the head. I tol dher when she moed back in at home , no cats, Puma likes to be the only one, but I relented, her cat is (was )way cool. Then, when she broke up with BF, she got custody of his hamster... I knew that would happen, but bit my tounge and did not say'"told ya so.." The funny part is, that Valerie is by far not as hardy as I am and nearly passes out at anything remotely vet, sick or medical related. When I have to give shots, she always leaves, white as a sheet. Aaaahh the joys of Motherhood, but I said that in another post already.

Gosh, I'm so sorry about the little hamster! I've never lost a pet to a cat, but I've found some 'souvenirs' around the barn. Not much fun to figure out what it is, er, was. I hope the rest of her day is much better! And congratulations on your self-control. That was a tough one, but you did good.

Oh my, n*o I can't picture Val being a screaming damsel in distress....
I'm sorry about the hamster, but cats will be cats.... how did you not laugh out loud at her reaction?
I raised boys. They seemed to delight in gross finds...

Same thing happened with me and my cat and the pet rat I had, only with my cat he ate the head and left the rest. I was upset but knew it was onlt cat nature. So couldn't blame the cat, couldn't blame my mom who had moved the rat cage into the garage when I was at school. She didn't know she knew how to get out. But you know to this day she blames herself. I guess it was pretty bad. I didn't clean it up either. Poor RaRa.

Oh no, your dogs killed all those critters? The worst thing that ever happen, was, a horse trampling a bunny to death, made us sick for days.
