Is it bad to be excited that my hubby will be gone until Sunday? He went to Louisville, KY for the national farm tractor show with a whole herd of his guy friends. They go every year. I give him the same advice every year "have fun and don't get thrown in jail" LOL.
Anyway my SIL was upset about her hubby going, how she can't sleep when he's away and it's going to be a horrible week ....and I'm over here counting down the days until he leaves! Sounds horrible but I've got Friday off and with him gone I get the whole bed to myself (except what the cats take up), don't have to wake up for his alarm, don't have to cook and thus don't have as many dishes, and I actually sleep just as good or better when he's not here. Not that we don't have a good marriage it's just sometimes nice to have a break.
I am taking a bunch of stuff to a 4-H tack swap on Saturday and hopefully I will sell more stuff than I find to buy. If the weather would just cooperate so I can get some riding done it will be perfect!

I feel the same way! My husband works 24 hour shifts (he is a fireman) and most of the time I look forward to him being out of the house so I can get a few things done!! (altho I do worry about him) Linda H.

Mine travels alot, he is gone for 2 weeks right now. The peace and quiet is wonderful! I have my own schedule, no one else to worry about, it is fun! It's even better when Mary Ann's is gone too, then we can be wild together!

LOL! Yeah, our kind of wild means staying an hour later at the barn. Of course, over the weekends, there are tack shops, sales, and riding things....

Yes! And you only have to clean up what you mess up yourself! It is a wonderful break--and when they are gone long enough, you miss them and are happy to have them come home. Linda

Yeah, and you can make stupid meals like popcorn for dinner, and buy the kind of ice cream he hates, watch sappy chick flicks, and never feel guilty.

feeling horribly guilty about the fact that I was so looking forward to them being at Grandma and Grandpa's for winterbreak next week. I have already scheduled a massage, a haircut, riding time (since the weather is so cooperative), dinner/movie with a friend, etc., etc., oh yeah, dinner with my DH at least one night next week. When my DH goes back to Iran to visit his parents, he is usually gone for a month. The first few days are enjoyable, after that I start to get irritated because everything is falling on me while he is gone and that is when EVERYTHING that can go wrong does.
