This drives me nuts. It is actually noteworthy when I DON'T have a song in my head, because it is so dang rare. Most of the time it's innocuous songs and I don't really notice. But I get Elmo's theme song stuck in my head and I HATE that. I also get Mr. Rogers' song in there, and that's annoying too, although not as bad as Elmo. Erich says Elmo is the Devil Incarnate. LOL I wouldn't go THAT far, but he is pretty annoying! ;D So how about you? Do you get a song in your head and nothing whatsoever will work to dislodge it?

It's getting worse now that so many commercials are using old songs I grew up listening to!

It makes me crazy when it happens. I remember reading how it's some sort of memory device gone into overdrive and stuck in a loop, but of course, I can't remember the explanation. Just the tunes. Would you believe that I remember one from when I was maybe nine years old? A Premium Saltines commercial. I try not to recall it or it loops again....

I *always* have music in my head--not usually something stuck, in fact most often not, just music in my head. It can be anything from classical piano to something the kids are listening to, to TV themes, to heaven knows what, but it's always there; all I have to do is stop paying attention to what I'm doing and I can hear it.
It's always been that way for me, and in fact I was an adult in college before I learned that it wasn't that way for everybody!
It makes long car rides a lot less boring, though. I don't need a radio.

LittlJoe, that's exactly how it is for me too! Always always something. I don't need a radio either, but I like to listen to it anyway. Michelle, are the voices in my head bothering you? ;D

So that's who it was! LOL! I kept hearing this voice, echoing in my head, telling me, "Send Revere to Texas . . . send Revere to Texas." Of course, I knew better than to listen to the voice in my head because if I had, John would have disowned me!
