Even though the motor, back end and tranny had been rebuilt not so many miles ago, the truck that looked so good just really isn't going to work out. Husband checked it out before I spent money for a mecanic check and determined that the F250 that I looked at is a better deal then this Suburban since so many smaller things haven't been maintained.
The F250 is being sold by a man who owns a Diesel truck repair / performance place - it was his vehicle. I liked the diesel F250, but it really needs a paint job or to be parked in the garage full time...lol The deal with the F250 is that the guy had his business stuff painted on it by a friend and then it was removed amaterously. It doesn't look like a junk heap or anything, but you can see the marred paint and the remnants of the signage. My husband thought it would be better to spend the 300 on a cheapo paint job and end up with a better truck. Course, it needs new tires too...
Anyway, all of the oldies but goodies need one thing or another done, isn't that just how it goes!

I saw a place on Hwy 530, heading towards Arlington that has 3 trucks for sale. All Fords, don't know what year, but newer.. mid 90s or so. One has a canopy. The place always has a few vehicles for sale.

There is a used car lot there and they always seem to have a few trucks parked in it. GL - we are in the process of finding a "new" car for my DH. Can't decide whether to get brand new or buy a used. We each drive so many miles/year that dependable is what is important. His '97 camry is screaming for new brakes/tires for the 5th year in a row so Toyota is not on our list this time for the first time in our married life.
