Went to see "Hitch" with the husband and 3 teenage boys. At first I thought, oh no, this is gonna be lame, but the movie really picked up the pace and we all liked it. From overhearing reactions on the way out, I would say it was a romantic comedy that they guys liked too.

Yeah, I think he is cute too. I loved MIB and pretty much have seen his movies since then. Do you remember that ages ago he did an MTV video called something like "I think I can take Mike Tyson" - very funny and clean rap song about this skinny kid taking on Tyson in the ring. I guess that is what I like about Will Smith, funny, handsome and cool without being overly crude or nasty even back when he was more of a singer/tv actor. His movies have always appealed to my boys too.
This movie will make you want to be romanced though...lol. The main characters were just crazy in love, went to cool clubs, dressed up in great clothes, did fun stuff and never had to deal with taking out the trash and washing dishes. Sign me up!

No, never saw that video. Sounds very funny! I agree, that's something I've always liked about Will - he seems to have integrity. A rare thing, especially in Hollywood! I guess I'll have to get Erich to watch this movie with me - maybe he'll learn a thing or two! LOL

My boys had a half day so I packed them and a friend each up and took them. The 13-14 yo and the 11 yos all loved the movie. Thought that said a lot, I also thought it would put a few good thoughts/points across to them.

I absolutely LOVED Assault on Precinct 13. It was the BEST movie I've seen in a very long time.
Hide and Seek is the next on my list, followed by Hitch.

We went to see "Being Julia" and liked it a lot. I had seen the play some 30 years ago . Never much cared for Anette Benning, but she pulled it off, she was great.

Oh, I loff Annette Benning. She seems to be such a classy lady and I like her in films too.
She was on JayLeno's show recently and it struck me then, how she carries off a presence of class.
Almost every female guest on his show comes with an outfit that shows as much cleavage and as much leg as posssible. They sit so as to show leg up to their privates and the conversation is full of sexual inuendos...
Annette was dressed quite modestly, but you could still see that she has a lovely figure. She sat like a lady and talked like one. She didn't pepper her conversation with crude talk. Maybe it's an act, but I was impressed!
I've always liked her in films too.

she was always like that, that is why she is considered 'boring' in the industry. But what the heck, she bagged Warren, no mean feat for a woman that plain. They also hold against her that she refuses to 'do her face' meaning getting nipped and tucked. This of course I never understand, she looks like a woman should look, and so does Susan Sarandon. Nothing is more sickenating then those zombie faces and old veiny hands or a shriveled cleavage (which can't be repaired!).
I saw Catherine Deaneuve, the french actress, a couple of years ago, she would never get work here. She has real lines in her face and is not 20 pounds underweight. But she looks great!

Isn't it amazing... Warren was such a playboy with all the glam women, but the one he married and has had 4 children with was the woman that he could take home to meet the folks, LOL....
My son is head over heels in love right now with a delightful young woman. He thinks she's the hottest thing on two legs. I think she's not nearly as drop dead gorgeous as his former girlfriend, but she's much more fun to be around.
New gf is darling and cute, but not movie star pretty like the old one.
However, he learned a lesson with the beautiful one that she was shallow and only wanted him to fix the things in her life that were wrong. the new gf is independent, has a good job and doesn't lean on Abe to do everything for her.
Maybe it was like that for Warren and Annette.

judging a book by it's cover? Those that have been married over and over and over and over are usually latched onto the next "covergirl" and have learned to keep their divorce lawyer on retainer. Donald Trump comes to mind. Every time I see the new Mrs. Trump, I want to shake her that the world doesn't go around with their lips in a pout all of the time. He obviously hasn't grown up yet.
