I am just about ready th throw my 'puter out the window! I need to send a video clip of my colt to a prospective buyer and Windows media WON'T let me do it!!!! I don't know how to down size it, nor do I know who to send multiple clips also how do you get it into jpeg? I've been working on this for hours now and I'm still no where  Do any of you guys know how to do this kind of thing? Thank you, Thank you! |

I can't help you, but. . .
I'm planning on uploading barrel racing videos for people to critique, and was asking about a place to do so. Felix told me that you can upload videos to your homestead for people to watch! So maybe that might be the best way to go?

I have done video clips and work a lot with .jpg filees too. Jpg files are a picture format. They can be edited down to a much smaller file size with any good editor type software. If you have photoshop, I can tell you how, if it is some other software, you may need to look at the help file. Normally, I crop the picture first and then somewhere in the "save as" options, you can save it as a lower resolution file which will give you a smaller file size.
Movies are typically .avi or some such file type, to my knowledge movies are not .jpg format as that is a still picture. Are you trying to save a "frame" and make it into a picture?
What message are you getting when you try to send it? Is it too big of a file for your email program? Are you trying to break it into separate movies to create smaller files? Would it work to post the movie file to a webpage for viewing? Anyway, if I can help, email me, but I am not entirely clear on the problem.
Computers can be so frustrating at times.

Thanks you guys, but after about 6 hours I figured out what I was doing wrong....lol... I have Windows Media but didn't have Windows Movie maker and that's what I needed, so got it and got it to work.. Thank you  |
