I had one of those days that thankfully happens only once in awhile...First thing this morning I noticed that Andy forgot to put the garbage out - no big deal, I put it out. Then, our 1st grader had a fit about the clothes he was to wear today (he's going through a picky faze), Finally decided on what to wear. Then, walked him to school and took our pre-schooler to his class. Well, Ben fell on the steps on the way in and hit his face on the concrete stairs. Crying proceeds. Get to class and realize I forgot that they were having their Valentines day party today.. Run home (luckily, just across the street) to get treats. Finally, get on my way for an appointment in Oshkosh (an hour drive) for an appointment at the courthouse. (which, by the way, worked in our favor - we won). On the way home had a flat tire. Didn't know how to change a flat. Just got the tires last year brand new. Nice guy stops and changes tire and teaches me how to do it. Oh, I forgot to mention that I got lost on the way home - turned the wrong way...half hour out of the way. When I got home, went with my Mom to the Humane Society, wheere she adopted a sweet 13 year old cat. I went to check out the dogs and there was a Newfy mix! AUUGHH! Had to come back and let Newf Rescue know about that one. Now, home sweet home. Looking back- it could have been much worse. In fact, if I hadn't gotten lost, the tire would have blown on the highway and that would have been dangerous. So, thank God I got lost, thank God a nice guy stopped to help me and thank God, all ended well. Guess after writing this I have a lot to be thankful for....

I think you had a great day! You were able to handle everything that was thrown at you with grace--and rescue a couple of animals to boot! Linda

Thanks Linda! When I was typing in the post, as I was reading it, I was thinking - ya know, it really didn't turn out as bad as it could have...Guess sometimes you just need to read it to put in to perspective...

Yeah, it seems to me that you were blessed, and maybe saved a couple of lives, too. Stiff pace for a day, though. Seems like you need some therapeutic Merlot.

Ya know, I would consider writing all your accomplishments for the day on the calendar. Then on those days you feel like you are totally unable to do even one thing and get it done--you can look back and say, "Wow! I AM good."
You were WonderWoman--even Martha Stewart would have been proud. Linda

It was a hectic day, but what a wonderful day. Look at all you got done, GF and you now are a hero to a dog and cat who have new homes!

LOL, I used to know how to change a tire, but it's been forever since I did it...
A couple of years ago I had a flat on my trailer at a ride... I felt like such an idiot not knowing how to change it...
two other women came over and changed it for me as the men drove by, LOL...

Definately a busy day, but you survived, and learned something. I remember several years ago, a friend & I hauled together for lessons (she was buying a horse from me) We blew a tire on the trailer about a mile from my trainers, so we limped there. My trainer saw it, and I told him I was going to teach my friend how to change it after our lesson. He says "All right, I get to watch women change a tire" LOL After our lesson, while we're cooling off the horses, he goes out an changes it for us.

Actually, hubby and I had the whole weekend free with the kids up at my in-laws for the weekend. We went out to dinner, lunch, breakfast...rented movies and drank wine. Had a wonderful relaxing weekend. The lottery ticket paid for our whole weekend! ;D

Cool, Michelle! Isn't it awesome how some things just drop into our laps? Goodness knows, our families have had it tough over the last few years . . .
Here's hoping that lottery ticket is a promise of better things to come!
Hugs, Tina
P.S. Now answer your e-mail . . . Just because I take forever to do so doesn't mean you can! LOL!
