Prayers needed

We were informed this morning that our cousin, Dirk, passed away last night/this morning after having open heart surgery. He was only in his 40s. His wife, Ginger, and two kids, Shawn and Kelly, are devastated. My mom had talked to Dirk before the surgery and he said that he was not worried about it.

Please pray for Ginger and the kids. I couldn't imagine what they are going through.

Edit: The realization that last July was the last time I'll ever see Dirk again just hit me. Ouch.

Wow--what hard emotional times are ahead. I lost my dad to heart disease when he was just 40. You know down deep that it was sudden and he didn't suffer, but it just hurts so much for so long--and then just becomes a dull pain forever.
