Meet Pickles and Olive, the latest additions to our crazy zoo! ;D Pickles in her "Why are you bothering me when you have no tuna" mood. Pickles double-checking to make SURE I have no tuna. LOL Olive on the trampoline - I love her coat color. It glints red in the sun. And when she's cold, she fluffs up into this little furry black ball - too stinkin' cute! And the pair of 'em, interrupted in the middle of their beauty sleep.

Gosh Mouse, they're so cute! But I have to ask. How did you come up with these names?

Well, they're not-quite-littermates - their mommas had them within five days of each other. So they grew up together on our place, and one day my little brother christened the tabby Pickles. I'm not entirely sure why, but it stuck. Then I decided I wanted them, and since Pickles was already named, I figured I'd continue with the condiment theme. It works out that she's black, so she's a black Olive! LOL Yes, I have too much time on my hands. ;D

Joye and I know a woman that names all her horses after food. So far she's had Turkey, Peaches, Benne, Oreo, Mac (as in Big Mac), Coke (short for Cocoa), and Brownie. Oh, and Lady, which she took to be Ladyfingers. For her, it's bad luck to have a non-food horse.
