I got home from the barn yesterday, and had to wash the jeans and coat I had on. Remember how the colt sprayed me with brown snot? So I pull them out of the dryer, and go to put them on. They'd slid on pretty easily when I threw them in. But I had to do some ugly jumping around and sucking it in to get them back on. What the heck happens in there in a dryer??! Are there such things as Dryer Gremmies? Is there a reason dryers don't have windows? Yikes, gimme my other pants back!

Dude, I think there are magical shrinking goblins in dryers. Without fail, pants fit tighter when they come out.

If we took those pants out of the dryer, and instead of putting them back on, we put them back in the washing machine and then in the dryer over and over, would they just get smaller and smaller until they fit the baby?

Dryer Gnomes. No, seriously...they're not technically even your pants. See, there's this huge underground network of dryer gnomes, and they just go around switching the wet clothing you put in with comparable dry clothing. Dryers don't actually DRY anything, you know, they just spin it around a bit & warm 'em up so it LOOKS like they worked. It's the gnomes doing all the work. Why do you think socks disappear sometimes? It's because they miscounted when they replaced the wet ones....
Yup. Dryer Gnomes.

LOL, you should see my only pair of full seat breeches, nice Dublin ones I could finally afford when a local tack store went out of business...
Well, as the pants were white, my DH who has taken over laundry duty, washed them with the whites on HOT and put them in the dryer on HOT....
I now have a very nice pair of full seat pedal pushers....

that is funny....same thing did happen to me - I had this nice simple pair of nice simple Clarino full seat breeches. Superman was in his, 'I want to do something for my wife', mode and washed them with his stuff. In hot water, then he put them in the dryer. Lucky you, you have peddle pushers, LOL, I could not button mine!!
Poor Superman, he felt so bad he said he would replace them. Well he is not an expert on womans riding attire. So he went to the local tack store and came home with a full seat pair of leather, not Clarino, George Schumacher breeches. ;D ;D ;D That man can shrink anything I own, LOL!

never ever put things you want to keep nice in the dryer. I always hang my jeans and my sweaters and my blouses up to dry. Also bra's never put them in the dryer either.

My jeans do the same thing. I can wear them in the morning, wash & dry them, put then on that afternoon, and they have gotten smaller. My dad has a different problem. He says his closet shrinks his cloths. He'll go to wear something, after not wearing it for a while. Pull it out of the closet, and find it's too small. He's given me a lot of sweatshirts that have shrunk. LOL He just gave BF an almost new Carhart vest that 'shrunk' too. Keep em coming dad!! ;D

HEY, I HAVE AN IDEA!!!! I'll get in the dryer and spin around a cycle or two, and see if I can lose a few pounds! These menopausal pounds that don't seem to want to budge could belong to the Dryer Gnomes. Whaddaya think?

Ooooh, good idea!!! Better try it out on something else first, though...hey, maybe you could stuff one of those Corgis in there. If you pull out a Dachsund, you're in luck!! ;D
