OK, it's a little thing, but it drives me crazy. My SIL always forwards me dumb virus warnings that are hoaxes, pleas for money for children who aren't really sick, etc. etc... Please don't do this to your friends and relatives., You can check out the veracity of these things at snopes.comI wonder how many people have deleted files off their hard drives because of these hoaxes??? chris

I have it double, from a co-worker who recently "discovered" computers and an aged aunt who believes EVERYTHING. I have asked both several times not to forward anything to me. But....... it. never. quite. sinks. in........
I have found that "delete" is my favorite button! ;D

I understand. I'm the one that always breaks the chain letters, that won't forward things because I love God, that deletes the warnings. Ever get one of those that predicts doom and gloom if you don't send it on to ten people? Geez. I'm still waiting for both of them. I liked Yoohoo's Mommy's one, though! That had to be written by someone who'd gotten a few hoaxes. ;D ;D ;D

people don't understand is that their request to forward is in itself a virus, clogging the internet for no good reason. Say everybody takes it seriously and sends it to ten people on each of their mailing list. The mailings increase geometrically, slowing everybody down like a virus. Duh. Another one of my pet peeves is people who don't know how to hide their mailing list, so they send you a silly notice you don't want and tell you to do stuff you won't do AND parade their whole mailing list with your email addy on it all over internet, where hackers can get it, when you are hoping they will keep it private!!!!
