Aaaiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I know everyone is probably SICK and TIRED of hearing my woes, but I have nowhere to vent. When I talk about it in the teachers' lounge, they all clam up. I think it's because we've had several teachers with cancer over the past several years, and two have actually died from it. Maybe it's a little too real. They can't be sick of me talking about it, because they never give me a chance! Now my period has started, two weeks early, because I took the pill for a week and then quit. That's fine, except now I will probably ovulate on the cyst side before my surgery on the 11th. And the symptoms are making me crazy. I have been watching every little single thing I eat, but my pants were so tight today I had to dig out jeans I usually wear to the farm because they are bigger (we have casual fridays) and THEY are tight. I am miserable! My abdomen is horribly bloated. My boobs are horribly bloated, and painful beyond belief, even with 800 mg ibuprofin. I thought once my period started it would get better, but today is WORSE! I have no plan, other than to eat as well as possible and go to walmart to find some comfy jeans or sweats, and maybe some school pants. I don't want to spend a fortune on bigger clothes, but sheesh, what am I gonna wear? *sob* I don't know if I can do this for two more weeks. I'm seriously thinking of attacking the brownies in the lounge....

Attack the brownies! You will feel better, and worry about the weight after surgery! (You have enough to worry about without worrying about your weight! ) GLHR!

I fully agree with Wildfire, Kel. Your weight should be the last thing on your mind right now! With your hormones out of whack right now. I don't see how you can really control it right now anyways! Just try to relax and not worry about your weight. After your surgery you'll get to work on your Weight Watchers and be where you want to be in no time at all! For now, buy a few pairs of pants with elastic waistbands and sell them on Ebay when all of this is over!
((hugs))

Kel, I'm really sorry you're going through this. Please know that I will keep you on my prayer list and you vent to us any time!
Hugs, Tina

I DID attack the brownies, right after I posted! ;D The brownies won! You are both right, I shouldn't be obsessing over my weight when obviously I can't do anything about it. I just don't want to go over the top and get back into my bad habits. But a few brownies are in order now and then, aren't they?
I'm having subway and a banana for lunch with a LARGE diet coke. Caffeine is my friend....

Chris is right, Kel; this too shall pass. Of course, so does gas, but it stinks while it's happening. Have a brownie for me, and I'll have one for you. That's a sympathy brownie! Chocolate is very therapeutic. Joye and I are so sure that it has medicinal properties that we call it Vitamin "C". Now, do you know what Vitamin "I" is? You can have a compound vitamin, you know.

Kel, do you take calcium?
Back when I had all my problems, my MD told me that one of the reasons women cramp so much during that time is a lack of calcium. Might be worth a try.
((((hugs))))

I hate to be the bearer of bad news....If you have cysts, caffeine is not your friend. It can make them worse as can chocolate. Probably because it contains caffiene.
