I'm watching the Inauguration, and there's all sorts of varieties of dress there. While many in the crowd are wearing stocking caps and are bundled up tight, Laura Bush is in a simple suit, as are many others. No overcoats and hats on many of he people. No doubt she had a shorter wait to be out in the cold, but still..... Seems like people would freeze! I wonder if she has on some sort of long underwear? Regardless of your politics, it's really awesome to watch history unfold in front of your eyes.

WUnderground.com has a really easy to use interface - tinyurl.com/5ue62 will tell you about DC. I just looked, it's 36 and cloudy. Haha it's 57 and sunny here in western Nebraska! My husband is finally making some headway on getting that formerly frozen manure up! The downside is that my 18yo gelding has a tummy ache, I think from the weather change. Hubby is keeping an eye on him and calling me with reports. Looks like he is walking himself out of it.

It is neat to watch history - however...I have a problem with spending 40 million on a party when 1) we are in the middle of a war where our soldiers could really use better equipment so they wouldn't have to scrounge just to have armor and 2) 40 million could help a lot of people affected by the tsunami.

I'm with you, Newfygirl. That money could be much better spent. (oops, I don't want to get political!)
