This is what the ugly thing looked like before the remodel.

What a change and I got it done in record time (for me any way!) I ripped up the floor, which took two days because all the glue and backing had to be scraped up. Painted, glued down a new floor (first time I've done it myself!) Put in new a new Price Pfister faucet and matching towel rods (thank you Ebay!) a new toilet, base boards and trim, wall papered and added a new light fixture and heat lamps all in only two weeks just working a little on my days off. It's nothing fancy, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out! ;D

I would be still waiting too, if it was left up to hubby! He we would still be living at our first tiny little house and it would be exactly the same as the day we bought it too! ;D

of yourself. I especially like the new floor and faucets. I wish I could do handy man stuff. I'm hopeless at that.

You can do it! Any one can. I watched a lot of home improvent shows and just gave it a try. I've messed up a lot, but I've seen jobs that the pro's have done and they were just as bad some times! ;D Taping drywall is the worst for me. I hate it! I've found that I can just mud the hell out of it and then get the eletric sander out and go to town! No skill needed! ;D By the way, I got the faucet and matching goodies on Ebay for cheap! I think that 6 pieces cost me just over $50 including the faucet! I love a bargain!

Now PLEASE come do mine. I'm tired of living with a half done bathroom (well really a half done house). Patrick starts lots of stuff and never finishes any of it and I can't do it (not a lot of feeling in my hands anymore) so it just sorta sits in stages of remodeling. I always say my house is a Trading Spaces reject ;D

Sarah, Patrick must be related to Ray!!!! geesh.....
He had a fit when I told him I was going to call the junk man to come get the burned up RV out of the pasture. It's been since last May 5 and it's still there. Ray wants to cut it up and get money for the steel in it.The junkman will charge us to come get it.
I told him if a horse gets hurt on that thing, it will cost a hell of a lot more than paying the junkman to take it away!!!! Now, it's frozen in to the ground so we can't do anything til it thaws... sigh... chris

Gee Chris I understand completely. Maybe they are long lost brothers or something...
I have 2 old cars sitting in what I would love to use as an isolation field as well as the shell of a truck that a tree has now grown through. One of the cars has sat there so long it is rooted into the ground. I did have the bright idea of calling a guy to come and get them out of here but when he went to move the one he pulled it in 1/2 so now I have no idea what we are going to do with it.
This house is a remodeling nightmare. If it tells you anything my bedroom is Pepto Pink (and no I'm not kidding). We moved here 3 years ago (this was his old homeplace) and of the 7 rooms only 2 have been redone and that is because 1 is the living room and I harped on him until it was finished and the other is Chase's bedroom and my mom and I did that one ourselves before I tore my back up again. I still have 2 bedrooms, a den, the kitchen, the bathroom, and the backporch to do and I honestly don't think it is ever going to get done if I leave it up to him.

LOL, I used to live in a pepto pink house! We called it big pink! I wrote about it for The Mother Earth News.
We were living in a tar paper shack down by the Chippewa River. No running water. Outhouse, heat and cook only with wood. After 8 years, I had enough of that. Our dream log house wasn't getting built... there were trees growing up through the basement...
Finally, I found a house in town that was being sold to be moved to make way for a grocery store expansion. I bid on both houses and got the pink one for $550.
Then I hired the house mover. My ex did get the new basement built because he worked for a contractor at the time. I got the water well driller out. Got all the permits, got the septic system in, got the house loan to pay for it all, and then DID ALL the moving from the old shack to the new pink house.
I literally dragged him kicking and screaming into the 20th century, LOL....If I hadn't done all that, we' d still be living in a tar paper shack by the river....
sigh........
