Kit, tell your sister that a second picking in the day worked wonders. The light comes from a different angle and you can see some you missed earlier. I saved almost as many to freeze as I did this morning, with very few that were too mature. The best part was that I was able to save a bunch that WOULD have been too mature by tomorrow morning. Those beans mature SO fast. It was rewarding to be able to use almost all that I picked.

Kim? that is my sister (well, one of them)
She probably would pick twice, if she had time before work. She also does what my dad always did and stagger planting things. A couple rows of corn, wait a couple weeks, then another couple rows, etc. 1/2 a row of beans at a time, etc., so things are coming on longer instead of quite so much at once.
