Hey everyone! Been a good long while since I have posted here, how is everyone doing?
If you haven’t been on FB, you haven’t seen how upside down my life has turned in the past couple years! As of last August I separated from my husband, but we had been distant for much longer and it was a mutual choice. Moved to a beautiful horse farm 20 minutes out of town with my kids and met the most amazing man very quickly after. The kids and I lived My kids have thrived through the change, and after 10 months seeing Mike (my boyfriend) the kids, our rescue cat, our bunny, our mini pony, and I moved 6.5 hrs away to live with him and his son on our acreage (connected to Mike’s family farm where he grew up). I was also accepted into a university degree program at the school here, so I am currently working hard towards my BA in Social Work! I have honestly never been in a better place in my life, I am so happy and fulfilled in all ways. I didn’t know that happiness like this was possible, I thought that people who acted like they have this were lying. My kids (Sienna, Tyson, and Emily) have transitioned so well and love their new school, our home, our family dynamic. Mike is the most amazing, involved, consistent, and caring step dad to them (they chose to call him their step dad).
We bought a horse for me in the fall, Stella. She is a really sweet palomino AQHA weaning that came from a really great ranch horse breeding program from back home, a place I have always wanted to buy a prospect from but could never afford and would never have been supported in my previous situation. She is coming along nicely, I am just letting her be a baby for the winter and early spring, I go daily and handle her, rub her all over, but I don’t do much else with her for now. When the ground dries and I am finished my second semester of school I will begin having fun with her. Mike and I are also getting fainting goats this spring, we have pre-purchased a couple babies from a breeder here. They will be recreational but we do plan on having a breeding program eventually. The kids are excited to have more animals and even for the chores involved.
Emily was diagnosed at age 4 with juvenile ideopathic polyarticular arthritis in her knees and ankles. We have had her on anti-inflammatory medication since June and it is definitely improving. We have another follow-up appointment with her paediatric rheumatologist next Friday and I think she might even achieve remission status at this appointment, so that would be such a huge relief for everyone!
I will be officially divorced sometime this year, hopefully. My ex has found someone new and they have a baby together now. We are not necessarily amicable at all times, and keep our interactions minimal, but we do what we need to for the kids.
Life is good! ❤️
